Eastern Florida State College’s New Vascular Technology Program Eastern Florida State College is offering a new and exciting program in Vascular Technology. This program is geared to give students a thorough understanding of the vascular system using specialized diagnostic imaging equipment. Students who successfully complete the program will receive an ATC (Advanced Technology Certificate) in Vascular Technology as well as be eligible to sit for the vascular board exam offered by the American Registry in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in order to earn the RVT credential. The program runs full-time during the summer semester, consisting of two six-week sessions. The didactic portions consist of in-depth classroom instruction, and the practicum sections consist of skills laboratory competencies in vascular sonography labs on campus, as well as clinical externships at local healthcare facilities, where Students head back to campus to get a jump on scanning practice. students work directly with patients. The application deadline is March 1, 2019 for the program starting Summer Term 2019. All applicants are required to provide RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography) credentials when applying for the program. As with all of EFSC’s highly accredited programs, this certificate course will be very limited, with only five spaces available.
