RECOGNITION ROAD

Simone delivered the keynote address and Joe Palmer, Director of Fleet Operations, served as master of ceremonies for the luncheon and awards program. A host of existing Million Mile Club members also were on hand, continuing a tradition of supporting and welcoming new inductees. Simone cited examples to put the accomplishment into perspective, such as equating 1 million miles to 333 trips across the United States. " Safety is one of our Core Values at USA Truck, and you are the safest drivers in our company," he said. " How many people can say they ' ve driven a half-million or more miles without a preventable collision? When you think about all the miles you run and all the challenges you face day in and day out as professional truck drivers, your outstanding safety records are even more impressive."
Simone credited the group with helping USA Truck make great strides in such a short time. " You are the ambassadors of USA Truck," Simone said. " You are the best of the best, and we are proud that you are such an important part of our team."

NTTC Chairman Jim Shaeffer commented:“ I am thrilled the NTTC is launching this timely and essential program to honor our professional tank truck drivers. A recognition program of this nature is long overdue at the NTTC. We strongly feel that by properly thanking our drivers as our most important asset in the industry, we help to sustain our future driver work force, thus strengthening our businesses and the economy at-large.”
Baldwin & Lyons’ Vice President of Sales Matt Thompson stated,“ We believe that recognition programs such as this further solidify tank truck drivers’ status as best-in-class throughout the industry. We are proud to help establish an award to honor these safe and reliable drivers.”
