ONE MOUNTAIN , TWO BASES

Park City Mountain is fortunate to have two separate base areas : Park City and Canyons Village .
Not far from Historic Park City , Park City Base has roots that date back to 1963 , when the first ski lift was built . It received an adrenaline boost when Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games . Today , this is the place to grab a bite , rent ski gear , and explore the many shops and boutiques .
If you ’ re arriving from Salt Lake City Airport , Canyons Village is the first base you ’ ll reach after a 35-minute drive . This lively , family-friendly village is home to the Orange Bubble Express — the country ’ s first heated , bubble-encased chairlift . In addition to ski and snowboard schools , gear shops , and numerous lifts , this base area is the sweet spot for all-season adventure . Canyons Golf Course is adjacent to the village and you can take a Zip Tour through the treetops around Red Pine Lodge . The Park City Bike Park has terrain suitable for novices and experts alike , including dirt jumps , rock drops , and hand-built technical single track . The area also offers hiking , mountain biking , and horseback riding through stunning forests and alpine meadows .
