The Discovery Ridge Team Mike Milner Mike has a varied and extensive background in real estate which includes experience with developments in several western states. He is involved on a daily basis with land acquisition, project financing, government approvals, utility infrastructure, development plans and construction. In the early 1970s Mike had the foresight to organize several general partnerships, and partner with investors to acquire several large tracts of real estate in the Park City Utah area. These partnerships owned over 700 acres in this fast growing area. A portion of this acreage became Powderwood Condominiums a 228 unit condominium development. Powderwood was the first modern day project built at Kimball’s Junction which is now a residential and commercial hub in the Park City area. Also located here was the Crestview Condominium Resort, a 120 unit condominium development. Located near major Olympic venues, this resort was the major lodging facility for the security forces for the 2002 Olympics. All 120 units were designed, built, and sold in just two years. He has also been involved with various joint venture and sales arrangements with Wal-Mart, Staples, Best Western Hotel, McDonalds, Arby’s and Tanger Outlet Stores of Park City. These businesses continue to add to the economy and enjoyment of the larger community. While Mike has stayed active in the Park City and Salt Lake area real estate markets, much of his time the past several years has been successfully spent in real estate and construction in the North Dakota and Montana Bakken Oil field markets. He is happy to once again to be focusing on the exciting Park City area. A native of the Salt Lake Valley he graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelors of Science and a Master’s of Science, including a Certificate in Industrial Relations, degrees all within 5 years. Mike has always been a person who gets in and gets things accomplished. Mitch Beckstead Mitch has been in the real estate development field for 28 years, during which time he became a managing partner in a real estate development company founded by former Utah Governor, Norman Bangerter, Mike Milner and Jack Andrews. Projects developed in Utah and Nevada, Crestview 120 unit condominium Development Park City, Utah, Salt Lake City Olympics leased, constructed and retro-fitted warehouses to provide housing for 2500 personnel from the FBI, Secret Service, State Dept, Immigration and Naturalization, CIA, ATF, U.S. Forest Service and other law enforcement agencies committed to the post 9/11 Olympics. In addition Mitch has provided housing for special events and workforce housing in the oil, gas, mining and large construction projects. In 2003 Mitch entered into a partnership with Target Logistics / Boston Massachusetts in the development, construction, sales and marketing of workforce and special events housing. In that capacity he was involved with providing housing for the 2003 Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary, 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens Greece, and the 2006 Wither Olympics in Torino Italy. Mitch received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Weber State University, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Utah State Police – Lieutenant Criminal Investigations Bureau served for 24 years, retired.
