Samantha Stringer – Great British Racing
After graduating from Leeds Beckett University last Summer with a 1st class degree in Business Management with Marketing , I am very excited to have been accepted onto the Development Programme . Growing up in Newmarket in a racing family , I have always had an interest in Horseracing and loved going to the races every Saturday with my Mum .
I cannot wait to learn and gain a further insight into the industry as a whole , gaining connections and learning to work alongside them in the future . I am also excited to apply my marketing expertise to the world of racing whilst ever-increasing my knowledge by learning new and insightful ways to develop additional marketing and PR strategies within the industry . My long-term goal is to express my love for the sport through my work as well as attracting newcomers to racing to share my passion .

I applied for the programme because of the great insight into the industry you can acquire along with the people and connections you can make through the programme . Gaining a greater understanding of the sport and the industry itself will benefit me immensely in the future and throughout my racing journey . I am excited about meeting new people and learning how the sport works from varying aspects . Understanding how a racecourse operates and the important steps that are needed in order to be racing ready and there is no better place to be than at Newmarket . Being in Newmarket will allow me to fully submerse myself in the racing world and this is something that is exciting me . I real ambition of mine in the future is to open racing to a wider and new audience . Bringing people into the sport and developing their understanding and interest in horse racing .
