Being born near Newmarket and the grandson of a Stud Groom at Lanwades Stud , racing has always been part of Peter ’ s life . Peter is keenly interested in the breeding and racing of thoroughbreds .
However his early career was as a teacher in Norway and Germany . He worked in Service Children ’ s Education and was a Headteacher for 14 years in Northern Germany . He decided to leave teaching and follow his interest in the horseracing industry . To that end he has worked for the Tote , the National Stud , the National Horseracing Museum and the British Racing School .
He is a lay member of the Local Ethical Review Group of the Centre for Racehorse Studies based at the British Racing School .

From University Cath worked in London as part of the Fundraising team at The Duke of Edinburgh ’ s Award for seven years . She then married and moved to Newmarket where she was first introduced to the world of Racing . Having lived with a Bloodstock Agent her working knowledge , interest and appreciation of the industry has grown over 20 years . Since 2017 she has worked at the British Racing School facilitating the Development Programme and The Racing Industry Course ( TRIC ).
Sean has been with the British Horseracing Authority for over four years in the Careers Marketing team as a Marketing Assistant . He is responsible for the careersinracing social media platforms and campaigns , attending various events to promote working in the racing industry and administering the careersinracing job board . Prior to this , he worked for Ladbrokes headquarters .
