* Cirauqui, a village typical of the dozens we passed through on our 31-day pilgrimage. * The Santa Maria de la Real Church in Najera. Noise. This was the overwhelming facet from our modern lives that was missing on the Camino. Television, radio, ringtone’s bells and whistles emanating from our phones, even well-intentioned conversations, they distract, disrupt, and dissolve our relationship with I AM. * The castle of Monjardin dominates the landscape. Other than occasionally during the last 100 km., Camino life was full of QUIET, full of peace, full of reliance on God, full of anticipation for the small, newly appreciated gifts of life given to us by a Father who wants us to have it all-all that truly matters, that, that is. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2). The Camino was a test of the body and the mind, but what a strengthened body and what a renewed mind it gave! In our final installment, we look forward to the third aspect of Camino life, the Spirit. Thank you for coming along! * 12th Century Romanesque Church of Santa Maria de Eunate linked to the Knights Templar who long defended the Pilgrims on the route to Santiago. It is off the main Camino Frances route. One of our guidebooks said that "it's a bargain for only a 3.1 km detour!"
