• Follow the American Heart Association
guidelines. The American Heart Association
recommends 30 minutes of aerobic activity
most days of the week for heart health.
Aerobic activity is any activity that increases
heart rate. Aim for 30 minutes of
exercise five or six days of the week.
• If you are not able to start with 30 minutes,
do not worry. Start by doing what you can
and increase the time you exercise by a few
minutes weekly.
• Not enough time? This may be the most
used reason why people do not exercise. Try
combining
walking
with another
activity.
