God sent a prophet to the
widow women and said, “What
do you have?” She said, “I have
nothing but a pot of oil.” Elisha
gave instructions to pour it out.
She heard, she obeyed and the
blessing flowed. She paid all her
debts and had plenty left (2 Kings
4).
There are people who speak the
Word of the Lord among us today,
but only the wise recognize, hear
and obey. They come to us in the
ordinary warp and woof of life,
speaking naturally without force
or fanciful notions—good hearted,
God loving people unconsciously
carrying the pearl of great price
within them and allowing the
light of His presence to transform
our lives. These are the Samsons,
the Moseses, and the Pauls of the
21st Century church. They are
neighbors, friends, co-workers,
pastors and teachers. They have
one thing in common: they are
men and women—jars of clay
possessed by the Love of God and
filled with His Spirit. Listen to
them and reap a harvest.
allows the “burden on his back” to
roll off.
The next instruction is to “trust
them wholly.” God is faithful. He
will take your thoughts and plans,
sift through for any mismatch to
His will for your life and, having
removed all hindrances, He will
establish your plans. This transaction carries with it a guarantee—
your plans will succeed.

In her book The Five Silent Years

However, with her planning she
camel bows down low and
also turned her path of life over
to her heavenly Father by praying
daily, “Lord, keep me close to Your
heart, so that I see things as it were
more and more from Your point of
view.”
Praying and planning are two
sides to the same coin. When
Moses built the tent as a place of
worship, it was to God’s exact
specifications (Acts 7:44 TM).
When Solomon began to build, it
was with the plans that God had
placed into the mind of his father
David. ”David…turned over the
plans for everything that God’s
Spirit had brought to his mind…” (1
Chronicles 28:12 TM).
A personal dream shakes you up
and sorts you out until you let go of
all and follow Him. The blueprint
of your dream is His plan. God’s
presence will bring your dream
alive with small bold and confident
steps. “In his heart a man plans his
course, but the Lord determines his
steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
Taking down the walls of Jericho
was only a “dot” on the blueprint
of entering the Promised Land!
(Joshua 6). Knocking out Goliath
was a tweaking to the Israelites
moving forward under God’s banner (1 Samuel 17).
It may be your personal dream,
but it’s God’s divine purpose! He
is the source and security. He is
the Wisdom and the Wise counsel.
What He has purposed, He pays
for; His account is always reconciled for those He has redeemed. It
may seem impossible…but that’s
because it is important!
