Solomon advises, “Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it”
(Proverbs 22:6). To “train” is to disciple and indicates
how the application of God’s Word will encourage,
empower, and equip children. The parent that spends
time knowing his child will recognize the call and
purpose of God in the child’s life and will work with
God in growing the child toward his destiny in Christ.
Discipleship is designed to make clear to the children the
plan and purpose of God for them.
