believed . “ He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan . Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it … When he struck the water , it divided to the right and to the left , and he crossed over “( 2 Kings 2:13-14 ).
Prayer brings down the principalities and powers of wickedness in high places . Jesus said , “ I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy ; nothing will harm you .” ( Luke 10:19 ).
The covering of mercy that brought both Shem and Japheth into a place of dwelling together is the mantle of unity that prays for the unity of the Body of Christ . This mantle is the seamless robe of Christ that evil men could not tear . “ When the soldiers crucified Jesus , they took his clothes , dividing them into four shares , one for each of them , with the undergarment remaining . This garment was seamless , woven in one piece from top to bottom . Let ’ s not tear it ,” they said to one another . “ Let ’ s decide by lot who will get it ” ( John 19:23-24 ). The seamless robe that Christ wore close to His body is the robe of intimacy . It reflects relationships that form the Body of Christ adorned with the ornamental robe of the Father ’ s love .
God is looking for a people who come out of the prayer closet wearing the seamless robe of humility , holiness and love — these three are the covering of the intimacy we have with Christ . All those that wear the royal robe know that it represents the King of Kings , it is His authority and His power that heals the sick , makes the blind to see and sets the captives free . It is His authority and His power that will heal our nation when we turn to Him in humility and prayer .
