Growing in God’s Garden of Victory By Lu Hale The season is upon us. No truer words have been spoken. In the natural and in the supernatural, things are moving at a fast pace. Being a gardener is a great way to slow things down. When you are pulling weeds, an afternoon can seem like an eternity! These types of mindless tasks open the mind to pay attention to our own untilled fields in the spiritual realm. Am I hearing from the Lord? Do I fully trust Him? Is my spirit willing and obedient to His voice? Do I notice the small cues and hints of the needs around me? Could I do more to encourage growth in my sphere of influence? What is holding me back from greater intimacy with Him and my loved ones? God’s Creation: Unique by Design ask Diane if she would present Unique by Design each Friday for the fall semester. She said, “Yes”! What a blessing she was to each student. The message she gave them was “You are not atypical. God made you and your life matters. It matters to the Lord and it should matter to you!” The focus was that Christ in you makes all the difference. While taking the time to help each student identify their gifts, show how their gifts are enhanced, how their skills develop, and how their talents are used to glorify God who made them unique, she was able to open great opportunities for each student.
