I have no problem with solitude and silence: it causes
the journey within to reach into the depths of reality;
it clears the pathway of fear and unbelief; it opens the
door of higher consciousness and the centrality of human need; it provides a megaphone for the voice of God
who, without words, prepares the atmosphere to hear
the truth with freedom and clarity. There is a connection in solitude that restores all that humanity was ever
meant to be and, in childlike faith, strength and peace is
gained in its acceptance.

Fit within the circle of creative stillness, something of
the new creation slips from the unknown into the known
world and joins the dance of all creation. It is the safe
place, a sweet and precious echo of “In the beginning
God… who so loved the world.” Nothing really stirs
these depths of being, nothing clings of worldly things.
Like the freshly fallen snow, it is as the first day of all of
time and every millisecond of time since is connected, a
thread that cannot be broken. When self death comes to
the tent of this body, it simply increases its dependence
on the thread and eternal life is risen to higher realms
of Glory.
“To thine own self be true,” said Shakespeare, yet to
know thyself one must journey into this unknown land,
travel the path that can only be lit by the Word of life
and then in the silence of solitude gather the new self in
intimate embrace and wrap it with the music of heaven.
To attempt to keep someone from being alone mars the
essence of God’s love and is at the same time a stumbling block to one’s own journey. Having a heart attitude of saying goodbye to all others, though bittersweet,
is imperative to full connection with the destiny of being
true and finding in ones new self the true meaning of
humanity and being fully human, able through Jesus
Christ to arrive before Almighty God.

This is the journey of a disciple of Christ. Church
membership cannot make the connection; good works
cannot make the connection; faith of parent or friend
cannot make this connection. Only in Christ is connection possible—relationship that is radically grafted
into the True vine that is Christ alone.

core of every male and female, He and He alone brings
one through the final stages and doorway of singular purity. Unknown, unobserved by all in this place of quiet
rest, all of life’s struggles are over and the beating of the
heart slows to the beat of His eternal longing. This state
is the final alignment and this, the final peace. Now, the
power of all creation can lift life not in part but the whole
to levels of fruitfulness that has no measure heretofore
known. The result is something flowing from nothing
