Theory
The term desuperheating is known as attemperation or steam conditioning
which actually used to reduce steam temperature in a high heat generation
plants. Maniks desuperheater is designed to inject water and maximize the
surface contact and direct contact between the steam and water to decrease
the steam temperature.
Desupeheater inject water through the holes into the path of the high speed
steam where water absorbs heat from the steam gets evaporated and the
steam temperature is been lowered in the process. They can be connected
horizontally or vertically.
Desuperheating is the process by which superheated steam is restored to its
