GITAM University Science and Activity Center, its primary concern is to provide a platform for the students who are interested in exposing themselves to technical aspects in various fields of engineering,management and other sciences. They took up some international challenges. TEAM GUSAC participated in NASA lunabotics competition in which the first batch of GUSAC stood 11th all over the world, which has been continued by the next generation and won the 4th position in the same competition. It also undertook live projects like Srikakulam water project which helps in producing power to srikakulam, thinking on the social aspects it also built a solar car and it went around the state for 14 days with the name krishishourya yatra. These are some of the landmark events in the history of GUSAC.
Later on it started expanding the family and took in all kinds of students from all streams, it felt like increasing the mangerial potiential among students is as important as increasing the technical knowledge, so GUSAC came up with various programmes like SPEAK UP ,SAE Baja etc. It generally aims at bringing up fresh talents and putting it in the right direction. It also organizes friendly seminars,workshops and interactive sessions with alumni and well experienced seniors throughout the year and conducting some huge events like The Carnival and TEDx . As its motto says
"ITS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW,ITS WHAT YOU DO WITH WHAT YOU KNOW!".
