Al llegar a esta cuidad uno no se imagina su importante extensión de norte a sur . Al ir a lo más alto de la ciudad ( a pesar de que ya se encuentra a 2850 metros sobre el nivel del mar ) te darás cuenta de que tú eres muy pequeño . Una ciudad , sí , pero en el corazón de las montañas , no muy lejos del bosque . Puedes vigorizarte haciendo senderismo , sumergirte en el centro histórico para descubrir los rastros de la historia , encontrar en función de tus afinidades muchos museos que están a tu disposición o puedes optar por dejarlo todo para ir a la selva amazónica . En resumen , como comprenderás , Quito es el centro multidisciplinario más importante del mundo . Los paisajes son muy contrastantes . Se puede observar un choque cultural entre el desarrollo de la modernidad de los últimos años y las huellas del pasado . Los hombres de negocios se mezclan con personas con atuendo nativo .
