ORIGEN Se estima que se formaron hace 30 millones de años como resultado de actividad volcánica en el fondo marino.
CLIMA De diciembre a junio es la estación caliente. De julio a noviembre es la estación seca. Las temperaturas oscilan entre los 24 0 y los 31 0. Cualquier temporada del año es buena para visitar las Islas, no obstante, se
recomienda ir en los meses de transición( de abril a junio y de noviembre a enero), donde el clima de Galápagos se torna tan especial por las mezclas de eventos naturales, los cuales suceden al mismo tiempo.
AEROPUERTOS Galápagos cuenta con dos aeropuertos, Baltra y San Cristóbal.

ZONA HORARIA Existe una diferencia horaria de una hora menos con respecto a Ecuador Continental.
ISLAS El archipiélago está formado por 13 islas volcánicas, 6 islas más pequeñas y 107 rocas e islotes.

CLIMATE The hot season is from December to June. The dry season is from July to November.
Temperatures vary between 24 ° to 31 ° Celsius. You can visit the Galapagos Island all year long, however it’ s better to visit it on shoulder season( April to June and November to January), when the weather is perfect for a mix of natural events that can occur in the same period.
