All three devices he offers guests use of—the
jetpack, hoverboard and flyboard—get their
power from the propulsion offered by a jetski.
With the hoverboard and flyboard, riders’ feet
are strapped onto the board, which they then
control with their feet. The jetpack, meantime, is
controlled by the rider’s shoulders.
Walker says his older customers tend to like the
jetpack more than the other devices because
it’s easier to maneuver. “We reserve adventures
on the hoverboard and flyboard for riders with a
little more experience,” says Walker. “They are too
difficult for the novice to use.”

HydroFlight Lake Life operates from either the
week before or the week of Father’s Day till
about Labor Day, depending on the weather.
The company operates seven days a week from
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rates are $150 per 30-minute
flight and $250 for an hour-long flight. Half-day
and full-day rates are available as well, and all
adventures can be shared by multiple guests.
“We work with a lot of resorts in Central
Minnesota and they have reserved dates and
times, but we also have availability to work with
groups and individuals,” says Walker, who adds
he has offered flights for people as young as 9
and as old as 91-years-old.
“Everybody we take up is amazed by how easy it
is to do,” says Walker.
