Letter from the President
Hello and welcome to the 2025 Winter edition of Destination Ozarks magazine. At the time of writing this article the fall leaves are in color and we are well on our way to the holiday season here in the Ozarks. We have a lot of events this time of year, and with that in mind, let’ s not forget to support those non-profit organizations that do so much in our communities.
This quarter, our feature article is about Hansen Doolittle and his efforts to renovate Hotel Seville. This historic 1929 hotel located in downtown Harrison has had its ups and downs over the years but is now experiencing a renaissance under Hansen’ s ownership. Be sure to read this article to see what changes the hotel is experiencing and learn a little about the colorful history of Harrison. Since it is the holiday season, we are featuring a few of our favorite local shops in town, talking about what they have to offer and hopefully giving you a few ideas for that hard to buy for member of the family. We also covered the NARMC hospital annual fun run, the Santa Shuffle. This will be the seventh year that this event has occurred, and it is open to all ages and all abilities. Read on to see how you can get your free Santa suit and participate in the run. Be sure to check out the article on the lighting of the Harrison square and the new live Christmas tree. There are plenty of pictures of this event as we kicked off the holiday season in style. Finally, I want to introduce the Chamber’ s newest member, Ms. Lena Rocole. Lena is the new Director of Workforce and Economic Development and we are very excited to have her join our team here at the Chamber. Be sure to read the article on her and see what makes her a perfect fit for our chamber family.
