A BUSY YEAR FOR GOLF TRAVEL
I recently visited the North Coast of Florida , home of golf ’ s unofficial “ fifth major ” – the Players Championship , which is played out each March on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra . Although TPC Sawgrass may well be the jewel in the golfing crown of the Sunshine State ’ s northeast , I soon found that golfers have plenty of other options as featured in my travel article . Sarah Forrest also spent numerous weeks exploring the golf options of Mauritius . Tuckedbelow the equator in the azure Indian Ocean lies this tropical island which has ten golf courses , so Sarah features all of the golf options along with the five-star Heritage Resort in Bel Ombre on the South side of the island . And while myself and Sarah were on trips in different continents , our CEO Dermot Synnott was flying the flag in others , attending the International Golf Travel Market in Lisbon and World Golf Awards in Abu Dhabi .
