We travelled in mid November and the crowds ( and heat ) were very manageable . They have a priority pass available , however we did not need it . You can go back and repurchase on the day if required .
After our thrilling morning at Dubai ’ s Aquaventure park , we were collected shortly after lunch and headed straight to the Dubai Mall ( the 2nd largest shopping mall in the World ) to take in the Burj Khalifa ( 828metres tall , the world ’ s tallest building and one of the most iconic ). We booked in for the ‘ 148th floor prime , sunset experience ’.
It did not disappoint . Uninterrupted bird ’ s eye view of various parts of the city , from the famous Sheikh Zayed Road and its rows of skyscrapers , the charming neighbourhoods up to the glistening coastal waters .
A word of advice , sunset is probably one of the most popular times to go , so if you can , try and book the VIP experience as allows you to go in the priority line and essentially skip some of the long queues .
We finished off our memorable Dubai experience with something a that resonated a bit closer to home , Dubai ’ s very own Irish Village . An Irish themed pub , with lots of Irish staff , Irish draught beers ( if you can afford them ) and live music . Lots of atmosphere and only a stones throw to our hotel for our early start the next morning .
At the rate Dubai is developing its tourism sector , one trip may never be the same as there is just always something new and exciting to come back to every now and then .
Whether it is by the banks of the creek , visiting the souks or at the top of the world ’ s tallest building , the Burj Khalifa , Dubai ’ s holiday experiences are endless .
