Course 3
Course 3 at Real Club La Moraleja, like Course 1, is a“ Signature Jack Nicklaus” design. Opened in 2013 alongside Course 4, it is located in the municipality of Algete and stands out as one of the Club’ s most modern layouts. Nicklaus transformed a flat estate into gently rolling terrain, creating a classic parkland-style course with variety and strategy on nearly every hole.
Measuring 6,830 meters, Course 3 is tournament-ready yet enjoyable for amateurs, thanks to its wide fairways and large greens. Three lakes come into play on half the holes, while 68 bunkers and over 1,200 newly planted trees shape the course’ s strategic demands. Both distance and smart shot-making are essential, rewarding players who can combine power with precision— especially those who can shape a controlled fade.
Environmental sustainability was a key part of the course’ s design, built to the highest standards with minimal ecological impact. The standout hole is the 3rd, a long par 4 with water on the left and a bunker on the right guarding the landing area. Aggressive players who hug the water are rewarded with a shorter second shot, while
Course 3 safer drives to the right face a longer and more challenging approach.
Course 4
Located in Algete, like Course 3, Course 4 was also inaugurated in 2013 and offers a friendly, fun, and highly original layout. Designed by Jack Nicklaus Design, it measures 6,487 meters and stands out for its creativity and unique style. Instead of traditional tee boxes, the course features islands of vegetation, creating a links-style design without defined tee platforms. This innovative approach allows players to choose from various tee positions on each hole, enhancing strategic variety and gameplay.
One of the most challenging holes is the 8th— a long, uphill par 4 with an elevated green that adds extra distance. The tee shot landing area is narrow, bordered by trees on the left and a large bunker on the right. Reaching the green requires a powerful and accurate second shot due to the elevation, though the large green offers some forgiveness. It’ s a hole that demands two long, precise shots to have a chance at par.
Course 4
Courses 3 and 4 share a comprehensive practice area, fully equipped for both long and short game training, making this part of the club ideal for players seeking variety, challenge, and innovation in course design.
Pitch & Putt Course
This par 3 course is the Club’ s fifth official course, thoughtfully designed and signed by Jack Nicklaus. The layout features generally small, flat greens that offer birdie opportunities on nearly every hole. However, scoring is not always easy, as numerous mature oak trees often narrow the tee shots or obstruct approaches, adding challenge and character.
Set in a peaceful and picturesque corner of the property, the course is surrounded by stunning, centuries-old trees, making it one of the most beautiful and serene spots at the Club. It’ s a true gem— ideal for golfers looking to refine their short game in a scenic and tranquil setting.
