Los Naranjos
Marbella Golf Resort
The Marbella Club Golf Resort is a magnificent 18 hole golf course , designed by Dave Thomas located in a 1,100 acre estate which is an area of exquisite natural beauty and offers five star service in a relaxed and friendly environment . With a total length of 6,247m , the course is enhanced by carefully contoured fairways , beautiful waterfalls , lakes and strategically placed bunkers , as well as undulating and protected greens , maintained to perfection . Guests of Marbella Club Hotel & Puente tt Hotel can often have the privilege to enjoy the exclusive benefit of complimentary green fees and shuttle service to the Marbella Club Golf Course throughout their stay .
Los Naranjos
Los Naranjos is run on the philosophy that ‘ golf means more than just hitting a ball ’. The Andalucian-style clubhouse bears this out , emphasising a total golfing experience and rating itself as ‘ the Costa del Sol friendly golf club ’. Long terraced tees and large undulating greens are the unmistakable hallmarks of a Robert Trent Jones design but there is a significant difference between the front nine holes which have broad fairways with gentle slopes , and the back nine which are much flatter . Maximum use has been made of orange trees , from which the course gets its name , and maintenance is a priority . Each morning a team of twenty staff prepare the course for members and guests .
La Quinta
Situated in the heart of the Costa del Golf , La Quinta Golf & Country Club is located in the golf valley of Marbella . This is an exceptionally beautiful location , located between the hills and sea . The exclusive club boasts 27-holes , restaurant , shop and hotel . Designed by three-time World Champion and Ryder Cup star Manuel Piñero , this attractive course is suitable for all levels of golfer , and offers a unique choice of 3 courses each consisting of nine holes . The hotel onsite offers good Stay & Play options as well .
Parador Málaga
Strength and strategy are the keynotes to successfully negotiating the oldest course on the coast . Inaugurated by the Spanish Royal Family in 1925 it was designed by Scottish architect Tom Simpson , of Turnberry and Muirfield renown . In 1992 the Royal Club de Campo hosted the inaugural Turespaña Masters Open de Andalucía won by Vijay Singh . State owned and run in conjunction with the adjoining Parador the club is part links , with natural lagoons formed by sea water and part parkland where the holes form avenues between stands of trees which are home to flocks of colourful parakeets . Although the course is flat with wide fairways the trees make things more difficult . The 12th is a good example of lurking danger with its stand of eucalyptus to the right requiring a perfect drive to reach the green in two .
