Designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr , Club de Golf Alcanada ’ s stunning 18-hole golf course opened for play in 2003 and has since gone from strength to strength and is now generally regarded as one of Spain ’ s best golf courses .
Situated in the northeast corner of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca , Alcanada boasts an enviable seaside location , with a 6,559-meter layout that blends seamlessly into the beautiful Majorcan countryside .
The course underwent an extensive renovation programme in 2019 and subsequently hosted The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R & A later that same year , and again in 2022 . The Challenge Tour ’ s flagship event will return to Alcanada once again in 2024 , where DP World Tour hopefuls will hope to follow in the footsteps of previous winners at Alcanada , Franceso Laporta and Nathan Kimsey .
