El Paraíso
Designed in 1973 by Gary Player , this 18 holes par-71 designed course in Estepona is one of the most established courses on the Costa del Sol . Set out in the peaceful El Paraiso valley with the backdrop of the majestic ‘ La Concha ’ mountain to the north and the sparkling Mediterranean to the south , El Paraiso has the envious reputation of not only providing one of the best championship course layouts on the coast , which draws players back time and time again . El Paraiso is very popular on the coast with both residents and visitors due to reasonable rates , a friendly atmosphere and weekly competitions . Don ’ t be surprised if you hear a few Irish accents in the bar ! Much investment has gone into the course in recent years to maintain its top condition . This well laid out course offers wide fairways , which are bordered by heavy rough and divided by streams , many of which are out of sight .
