Madrid » Lomas Bosque
Inaugurated in 1972 and designed by Robert Dean Puttman, the
Club de Golf Lomas-Bosque is easily accessible with only 25km
west of Madrid City. It boasts an 18 hole par 72 course as well
as a smaller 9 hole par 3 course. The former offers an uneven
terrain with tree-lined fairways in the first few holes, while the
latter is flat. The views across the Sierra de Guadarrama, and being
located next to the sea have guaranteed breathtaking views on
almost every hole. The course is noted for its wide fairways and
small greens, that forces the player to use all the clubs of the bag
becoming one of the intriguing golf courses in Madrid.
Madrid » Golf Santander
Golf Santander golf course is blended seamlessly into the rolling
natural terrain surrounding Banco Santander’s new headquarters
facility in Boadilla, Spain, a suburb of Madrid. The course, par 72,
was designed by the renowned U.S. architect Mr. Rees Jones in
collaboration with Seve Ballesteros. From the black tees, Golf
Santander has the longest golf course in Spain and one of the
longest in Europe. A course such as this presents a challenge to
players at different levels, offering enjoyment to masters and
beginners alike. The year after it opened, Golf Santander was
ranked by Golf Digest as one of the three best courses in Spain.
