Las Colinas Alicante » Lo Romero Located between Alicante and Cartagena, this golf course is easily accessed from the motorway and just 25km from Murcia airport. Having just opened in 2008, there are excellent club facilities including practice range, bunkers and greens along with Bar-Café and restaurant offering stunning views of the golf course. The design by Jorge Gallen and Enric Soler, concentrates on creating a traditional and practical course without too many different levels. The holes are varied and entertaining with the course taking you through orange groves, pine trees, sea views and the ever changing local flora and fauna. Alicante » Las Colinas Situated in 10,000 hectares of Mediterranean woodland, this resort lies in a secluded valley in the southern part of Alicante between the town of San Miguel de Salinas and the coast, with sea views of the Mediterranean and Mar Menor. You enter through a dramatic gorge, preserving the tranquillity and natural beauty of the valley revealed within. With low-density housing, it is an eco friendly development surrounded by hills as it blends naturally into the landscape - indeed a world apart. The more elite golfer can take on a challenge of the 6337 meters from the back tees, but with five different tee platforms on each hole, golfers of all skill levels will enjoy their game here. Alicante » Villamartín At 6,132 metres of the white tees, Villamartin is not excessively long but it has been adapted to the natural surroundings which can provide difficulties for wayward shots. Located in a river bed, the layout is quite varied without too many slopes. It has an abundance of Mediterranean vegetation and a thick grove, although these should rarely influence your game. The greens are quite large and once you avoid several obstacles like the natural cliffs and water hazards, Villamartin provides golfers with a good chance to beat their handicap. Alicante » Bonalba Bonalba Golf is a par 72 course that was designed by Ramon Espinosa and opened in 1993. This 18 hole course is located in Bonalba Mountains and very close to the sea. The variety of trees, lakes and the high number of bankers and large greens makes Bonalba Golf an interesting and attractive challenge for all golfers. Although the fairways are quite large, the amount of lakes on this course makes it anything but easy. A good water and purification system makes this course in excellent condition all year round. 109
