Club de Golf El Rompido (North & South) Huelva » Costa Esuri (West & East) Costa Esuri is a 36-hole golf complex which is part of the Ayermich Group. Opened in 2006 the West course is a 6,607 metre giant, designed by Jose Canales. The front nine holes has a links type terrain and wide fairways but the back nine is a lot tighter requiring precision shots. Costa Esuri prides itself on the lack of real estate developments around the 36 hole complex, thus provides seclusion and harmony for the golfer. The resort is only a short distance to the beach and enjoys all the comforts of a golfers paradise. Opened in 2007, the equally challenging 6,188 metre layout of the East course is equally suited to hosting golf championships. This course gently flows along the salt marshes and banks of the Guadiana River. The dog leg holes are a clever design here where the brave get rewarded. Huelva » Corta Atalaya This historic Club was founded in the 19th Century by engineers at the Rio Tinto copper mine. Always a rustic course with oiled sanded ‘greens’ Corta Atalaya’ was kept alive by successive mine employees. In 1990 the course was rebulit on a new site, also part of the mine, but now boasts seeded tees and greens. Fairways are bare earth so the Club provides carpets of artificial grass to facilitate play. The course is 2,300 metres long with one par-5, four par-4´s and four par-3´s. Huelva » Nuevo Portil Golf Nuevo Portil is an 18-hole par 71 golf course located at the Urbanizacion Nuevo Portil, in Cartaya, just 18 Km from Huelva, 91 from Sevilla. Over the course and its 18 holes you will enjoy the most beautiful sights of the coast of Huelva: never-ending dune beaches, the ocean, or woods of pines and century-old savins. It takes its name from the ¨Laguna del Portil¨, a coastal type of lagoon which is a bird sanctuary and a safe haven for chameleons, declared a Natural Reserve. The golf course is located in an area with natural vegetation, mainly populated with pine, running along the sea to the south. While the course’s technical design can be adapted for international championships, most golfers will enjoy a pleasant game in superb surroundings. Huelva » El Rompido (North & South) Huelva’s El Rompido North and South courses add to a list of quality courses in the region. El Rompido is surrounded by a beautiful natural area, Las Marismas del Rompido, and has magnificent sea views. The first nine holes require precision and technique - and absolute caution. The second nine feature open fairways, enabling golfers to take more risks. The greens are wide, and water play an important role in the layout. Comprising mostly of corks, olives and pines, the vegetation gives the course an especially attractive aspect. 61
