Boavista
Opened in January 2002 , Boavista is another of the Algarve ’ s young courses , flowing over the natural Algarvian landscape . The 18-hole championship course was designed by Howard Swan , just 200 metres from the Atlantic , and close to Praia da Luz beach . Half of the course is located in the National Agricultural Reserve , where native almond and carob trees abound and ancient ruins characterise the landscape of this versatile course . One of the most unforgettable holes is the spectacular 7th , a par-4 that offers the sea as a backdrop and panoramic views sweeping from the coast at Praia da Luz across to the mountains of Serra de Monchique .
