2. Play as it lies.
In a penalty area you are as a starting point
allowed to play it as it lies without penalty.
There is no longer a penalty e.g. to remove
loose impediments from the penalty area.
3. Relief with a one stroke penalty.
You can - as you can today - take relief with
a one stroke penalty.
When you take relief you have these options:
1. Find the spot, where you played last
(= the reference point).
2. Drop a ball within one clublength of this
spot, not nearer the hole (i.e. drop in the
“relief area”).
3. Play within two clublenghts.
This option is available only for a ball in a red
penalty area. You can drop a ball within two
clublenghts (not nearer the hole) of the spot
