Tomakomai Golf Resort 72
Located in the Tomakomai area, just 20 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport, this expansive resort features 72 holes across four distinct courses, making it one of the largest and most accessible golf destinations in Hokkaido.
Widely regarded as one of the most“ Hokkaido-like” golf resorts for its sweeping natural scenery and vast open landscapes, it has also served as a premier tournament venue, hosting major professional events such as the Hokkaido Open Championship, HTB Senior Classic, AXA Ladies Tournament, and the Nikkei Cup Tokichi Nakamura Memorial.
Each course has a unique personality: The South Course is a championship layout famous for televised finishes, highlighted by its dramatic water-guarded 18th hole; The East Course offers long, mostly flat holes ideal for athletic play with the convenience of GPS-equipped self-drive carts: The West Course challenges golfers with strategic variations, doglegs, and elevation changes; and the Iris Course, opened in 1995, is a well-balanced and beginner-friendly favorite.
The South and West courses offer caddie-assisted play, while all four allow cart access on the fairways, ensuring an enjoyable and comfortable round for every golfer.
