The harp shaped Samuel Beckett Bridge , Dublin City .
Getting around Dublin is easy , with numerous tours and public transport systems . Some of the best ways to experience the city include the hop-on-hop-off bus , the Dublin bus network and the Luas ( tram ). If you prefer to walk there are plenty of literary walking tours and , in Trinity College , the famous Book of Kells awaits . Within the city itself there are several architectural styles embracing the ages , from the medieval quarter to the Georgian quarter to the new tech quarter , located in Grand Canal Dock .
View of a famous pub in the Temple Bar , a lively cultural quarter in central Dublin .
Combined with all of the pubs , cafes , restaurants , parks and shopping hubs , there is always something to do or somewhere to go . Temple Bar is renowned for its live music and its fun-loving , carefree atmosphere , but if it ’ s a more authentic taste of Dublin you ’ re after then the Bull & Castle or Porterhouse pubs offer an excellent range of craft beers . The DART ( train ) offers visitors an opportunity to see Dublin ’ s magnificent coastline and seaside towns such as Dalkey , Dun Laoghaire , Howth and Malahide , just a stone ’ s throw away from the city centre . Dublin is , of course , home to many fantastic golf courses including Luttrellstown Castle , The Island , Portmarnock and Royal Dublin . This city is a unique place … it is home to many but an adopted home to all .
