Opening in 1899 , Carlow Golf Club is home to the 18 hole Deerpark Championship course , which is regularly regarded as one of the finest parkland courses in Ireland . It is the unique , natural landscape that remains dry all year round that makes Carlow an ideal club for visiting golfers .
Ryder Cup star Christy O ’ Connor Junior once described Carlow ’ s 16th as the finest 16th hole in the country , describing our course as one “ not to be missed ”.
The Club offers excellent facilities , including a practice range , practice putting green , our own club professional , a fully stocked golf shop , clubhouse bar and restaurant with a private members bar and snooker rooms . For a leisurely round , the club also has the Oak Park 9-hole course , an enjoyable ‘ pay and play ’ course for visitors .
