After golf, we checked in to our 5*
accommodation, NAU Salgados Dunas Suites.
NAU SALGADOS DUNAS SUITES
Located a short distance from Salgados
beach, this 151-room luxury hotel was created
for a relaxed and upmarket stay. Its modern
architecture and wonderful beachside setting
offers a lot. After checking in, I took a walk
around the resort to enjoy the Mediterranean-
inspired gardens which offer a tropical setting
of palm and olive trees. The purpose built
150-metre wooden walkway offers a direct
route to the beach, or you can relax in any of
the six swimming pools. There’s also a gym and
spa, for those who are looking for some peace,
relaxation and well-being.
Looking towards the gastronomic offering, there
are two restaurants with different concepts,

but surprising in quality, flavour and service: the
signature cuisine restaurant L14 with signature
cuisine and fusion, and Bossa Nova Buffet
Restaurant with themed menus. For our group,
we enjoyed the Jazz Bar for drinks into the wee
hours of the night, after a scrumptious buffet
dinner in Bossa Nova Restaurant.
In the vicinities of the hotel there are fantastic
places to explore, landscapes to discover and
activities assuring adventure and entertainment,
from theme parks, boat trips, tours and jeep
safaris. It’s all in the Algarve, and the time is
“NAU”.
