There’s no doubt that
Portugal has been a magnet
for golf tourism over the
past three decades. Winner

many fantastic golf hotels
dotted around the Country.
There are many wonderful courses by
renowned architects, who have used the natural
Portuguese terrain and coastline to create their
works of art.

Golfers can choose to play in the hills, through
forests, by the side of rivers, around lagoons,
by costal clifftops, through sand dunes or
nature reserves. For the Algarve region in the
south coast, its brightness, warm climate,

destinations in Europe, or the World.
On a recent press trip, I was the guest of NAU
Hotels & Resorts which aligns itself with the
same quality and diversity principles, offering
three golf courses for completely different
experiences and challenges for any handicap.
For the first two days we were based at
Morgado Golf Resort, which had our first
two golf courses in walking distance of our
hotel: Morgado and Álamos. Located near the
Monchique Mountains just 4 kilometres from
Portimão both golf courses are immersed
