Ethiopian Airline, an enjoyable experience.
in the panning of this most recent trip, to
investigate if the option of taking one of the
Cunard liner’s World Cruise legs from Cape
Town to Southampton would work for our
northward migration. Comfortable though the
Union Castle ships were, this would certainly

their hubs to service the routes into the UK
and Europe, as do most of the major European
airlines including Air France, Lufthansa and
Alitalia.

varying shapes, sizes and origin over the years, I
decided, for this trip, to try another of Africa’s
carriers in the shape of Ethiopian Airlines.
A number of criteria were used to determine
this option as the final choice; luggage

passenger, depending on the number of pieces
of luggage - we had need of a ‘hefty’ amount
