Founded in 1870 by Jaime Torres, Bodegas Torres is a
historical wine growing company with its’ roots in the
Pendes region.
Occupying the most expensive vineyards in the region,
the Torres family are a self-financed, independent family
that still own the company after more than 100 years of
family tradition. Learn about this truly inspirational family,
its historical journey and rise to fame at the Bodegas Torres’
Visitor Centre.
Many golf groups visit Barcelona every year to enjoy golf
mixed with “Wine Tourism”. Visits to the Torres winery in
Barcelona have quickly become a fantastic option for an
alternative “après golf” or “free day” away from the golf
course.
Just 30-mins from the centre of Barcelona by Train, the
Bodegas Torres’ Visitor Centre is located in the heart of the
Penedes appellation or ‘Denominacion de Origen’. In this
privileged setting, visitors can enjoy a range of activities.
During a 1-hr tour (approx) for a small entrance fee, you
will discover the secrets of the world of wine. The extensive
tour included a spectacular multimedia experience in
a tunnel of seasons; a train trip around the winery; and
a multisensory 3D visit through a Waltraud wine cellar
all finishing up with a personalised tasting of the world
famous Torres wines.
There is space for different types of events and
celebrations which can be tailored to any group requests.
Other experiences include gastronomic treat such as
blind dinners, wine & cheese pairings, to activities such as
making your own brandy!
In 2014, Bodegas Torres won “Worlds most admired
wine brand”, the first European winery awarded with this
distinction.
