Costa Dorada
Tourism
& Golf
Costa Dorada, which means the golden coast
is the stretch of coastline along the province
of Tarragona on the eastern side of Spain.
It is known for its wide golden sandy beaches
by the beautiful promenades lined with pine
trees, crystal clear waters and the silhouette
of the Roman ruins covering the region.
Tarragona is both a province and a town in
the region of Catalonia, which unfolds around
the Mediterranean Sea. The town is rich with
historical splendours including medieval walls
and the remains of a Roman aqueduct.
Salou is one of the main holiday resorts in
Tarragona. Amongst other things, it is also
home to one of the largest theme parks in
Europe – Port Aventura. With direct flights into
Reus Airport, Tarragona is the ideal holiday
destination for both families and groups of
golfers.
There are seven golf courses in the Costa
Dorada. Lumine boasts three of these courses
– Lumine Lakes, Lumine Hills and Lumine
Ruins. 170 hectares has been devoted to
these courses and two club-houses cater for
golfers every need. Each of these courses
gives the player a different experience due
to their unique design and different natural
environments. Golf Bonmont Terre Noves is
a magnificent Robert Trent Jones Jnr course.
The course features numerous natural and
man-made hazards. These include imposing
gullies, six lakes carved out of the rock,
bridges, copses, more than 90 bunkers and
ample, beautifully manicured greens. The
other golf courses are Costa Dorada Golf Club,
Reus Aiguesverds Golf Club, and La Graiera
Golf Club – three superb courses that form this
exciting golf destination.
