Phil Mickelson to design
Trump International Golf
Club at MNC Bali Resort
MNC Land, one of
Indonesia’s largest property
developers, announced
today that world-renowned golf professional Phil Mickelson
has been retained to redesign its 18-hole championship
course in Tabanan, Bali, under plans to re-launch the property
as Trump International Golf Club. The golf course is part of
the Bali Nirwana Resort, which is set to close on July 31st 2017
and will undergo a complete transformation and will re-open
as a brand-new, world-class, 6-star resort and destination
beach club operated by the Trump Organization.

and 3-time Masters Champion Phil
Mickelson has committed to play
in the Safeway Open presented
by Chevron, October 4-8, 2017 at Napa Valley’s Silverado
Resort and Spa. This will be Phil’s second year in a row playing
in the season-opening Safeway Open PGA TOUR event. In
2016, the popular Mickelson drew large crowds shooting four
rounds in the 60’s finishing at 14 under par.

The Algarve continues to
exceed golf visitor records
after a flying start to 2017,
while it has also retained its place as the best value holiday
destination for UK tourists. The region is widely-regarded
as Europe’s number one golf destination with 43 fabulous
courses and hit an all-time high for golf visitors numbers in
2016 and the sights are now set on another new record after
nearly 328,000 rounds were played in the first quarter of this
year – another six per cent rise on last year’s figures.

annual North America Golf Tourism
Convention (NAC) heads to the central
region of the Beaver State in 2018. The event, organized by
global golf tourism organization IAGTO, is being staged at
Sunriver Resort, near the town of Bend in Central Oregon,
from 24-27 June 2018
20th edition of IGTM set to welcome
new buyers
International Golf Travel Market (IGTM)
has announced a significant increase
in the number of first-time buyers to
pre-register for the 20th edition of the
world’s premier global event for the
golf tourism industry. The 20th edition
of IGTM will take place at the Palais des Festivals et des
Congrès in Cannes, in the south of France, from December
11-14, 2017.
Tenerife Golf set to erupt
with Azalea
Tenerife Golf, the national
association for the
promotion of golf on the
largest of the Canary Islands, has engaged Azalea to handle its
PR and marketing interests in the UK. Tenerife features nine
different and varied golf courses: Buenavista in the west, Real
Club de Golf de Tenerife in the north, and Golf Costa Adeje,
Abama, Las Americas, Golf del Sur, Amarilla, and Los Palos
in the south. Tecina Golf is a 40-minute ferry ride from the
mainland on the beautiful island of La Gomera.
