The Isao Aoki course has 6,990 yards , the Greg Norman course has 7,123 yards , Andy Dye course has 7,323 yards and Sir Nick Faldo course runs at a hefty 7,443 yards , which is maturing into one of the most challenging golf courses in the Philippines .. The Andy Dye golf course is known locally as the “ Beast of the East ”, as the course is strategically laid out with numerous deceptive and fairly deep bunkers . The Greg Norman course has the Norman trademark of carefully-planned landscaping , verdant thickets , and water displays . This 36-hole Korean owned golf course is a mere 27 minutes from Angeles City . This fairly new club is divided into two good 18-hole golf courses . The first 18 holes is called either the Clark Course or the Dongwon Course , and is 7,127 yards long . The second 18-hole golf course is the Sun Valley Course which is slightly shorter at 7,015 yards . The elevations are breathtaking as the golf club sits in a valley and there are some incredible slopes and elevations , making this a fun but challenging golfing experience . The two 72 par golf courses have uphill and downhill sloping fairways , thick bushes and ravines , that create a thrilling course for golfers of all levels . Sun Valley is known for its breathtaking views of natural attractions , such as streams and waterfalls , along with the panoramic view of Mount Pinatubo .
Wack Wack Golf & Country Club
One of the country ’ s most exclusive and elite golf clubs is the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club . Located 9.2 km East of the capital , it takes roughly 45 minutes from Manila to get there . The club was built in 1930 by the American resident William Shaw , who established the club ’ s two 18-hole championship courses , called simply the East and the West courses . The East course is a bit longer running at 7,317 yards , and is a bit harder to play of the two courses here . It has hosted some of the country ’ s top tournaments including Asian Tour events , the Philippine Golf Open Championship , and the 1977 World Cup . Its small rolling and elevated greens , water hazards , and long fairways are what makes the course such a good golf venue for these elite tournaments . The West Course is more suitable for the average golfer .
