This is a truly spectacular course located beside one of Bali ’ s best surfing areas , Dreamland Beach . New Kuta Golf is carved out of limestone and surrounded by white cliffs and the blue waters of the Indian ocean . Awarded Best New International Course in 2008 , this is a fun course and a great challenge with brutal fairways and of course strong side winds . Most enjoyable and refreshing though .

Established in 1892 and located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city , it is often regarded as the premier golf club in Malaysia , and the beginning of golf in Malaysia . The course is accessible as its only located 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport , but as a member / guest course , only the lucky ones will get an opportunity to play . However , individual hotels can book tee times for their guests . The Old and New courses are parkland , flat , relatively spacious and not too technical . That said , the holes are well protected by an abundance of mature tree and some holes can play quite long , so forward tees could be the best option . The course has received much investment over the years and hosted many professional events over the years such as the Malaysian Open , Dunhill Malaysian Masters , and the 2016 Maybank Championship .

Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright designed a Hawaiian-styled golf course , which re-opened in 2013 after undergoing extensive renovations . Being located at the southern tip of the island puts Bali National near many of the top hotels . It is only a short 15-minute drive by the new 4-lane tollway from the Bali International Airport . Here you have two distinct terrains , the outward nine plays up through hills and a lush tropical jungle while the back nine is more level with coconut trees and several lakes . There are spectacular views of the Indian Ocean from many holes .
Saujana Golf ( Palm )
Saujana Golf & Country Club , Palm Course was built out of the rolling hills of a former oil palm estate . The two golf courses , Palm and Bunga Raya are characterized by undulating fairways , mounds , bunkers , ridges , lakes and ponds . Both Saujana courses are equally challenging and maintained in championship conditions year-round . The Saujana Palm Course has played host to the prestigious Malaysia Open seven times and was also given the honor to become the first golf course in Asia to host the inaugural European & Asia PGA Tour event . Nicknamed “ the Cobra ”, the Palm Course is widely acknowledged as the toughest in the country with its tight , palm-lined fairways and fast tricky greens .
