Chee Chan Golf Club
Located in Silverlake area , 30-minutes from Pattaya City , lies the championship course of Chee Chan Golf Resort . Its ’ perfect setting uniquely overlooks the famed Khao Chee Chan Buddha ( which is a 109-metre tall Buddah engraved into the Limestone hill then marked out in gold , to commemorate His Majesty the King of Thailand ’ s golden jubilee ). It provides 360 ° panoramic views of the course and nearby resort cities of Pattaya and Jomtien . An iconic perspective , with sweeping views of Khao Chee Chan , temples , lakes and mountains and glimpses of the ocean in the near distance all adding to the experience . The course is an international Championship 18 hole , Par 72 course that is a challenging 7,345 yards from the Championship tees .
Siam Country Club Old Course
Siam Country Club Old Course is one of Thailand ’ s top courses and is well known around the world for hosting the prestigious Honda LPGA Thailand every spring . This par72 , 7,068 yards was completely renovated in 2007 by Schmidt-Curley Design Inc . who brought it up to international championship standards . The project included newly refurbished facilities . Some of the trees were removed allowing for an excellent breeze . A popular grass , Seashore Paspalum , was chosen for the fairways , and Novotek for the greens . In addition , the 101 bunkers are there for beauty and challenges for all golfers alike . The Old Course has continued to win numerous awards and was voted 73rd best golf course in the World by Golf Digest USA .
Black Mountain
Winner of numerous awards including one of the 100 best golf courses in the world , Black Mountain ’ s 27 holes was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations and is around 25 minutes from Hua Hin . The course looks as natural as possible with small creeks and many elevated tee boxes and greens . They added a new nine holes in 2016 as the West Course . Their clubhouse has excellent facilities including a fine dining restaurant overlooking the course .
Chiang Mai Highlands
Located approximately 45 minutes ’ drive east of the City of Chiang Mai this award-winning 27-hole course is very popular with golf vacationers . Designed by American Lee Schmidt in 2005 , this is a true Mountain layout with breath taking views , fresh air , high elevations , over 130 bunkers and some tricky undulating greens . It has deservedly won many awards including Asia Golf Monthly ’ s Best Golf Resort in Asia in 2015 . A good challenge for golfers of all levels .
