Jet connects Mangaluru and Delhi with daily direct service
Jet Airways has introduced a new daily service between Mangaluru and New Delhi, offering business travellers from the South Indian port city and commercial hub, seamless
connectivity with the National Capital. The new daily flight, which started on January 16, 2017, will also connect Mangaluru to a whole host of destinations across North, Northeast India and even internationally, via New Delhi, further bolstering the airline’ s already extensive service network. Guests from Mangaluru will be able to enjoy one-stop connectivity to cities such as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Dehradun, Jaipur, > Jodhpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna and Guwahati. This new flight also links Mangaluru to key international business centres such as London, Amsterdam, Singapore and Hong Kong and popular tourist destinations such as Bangkok, Kathmandu and Dhaka through New Delhi. Mangaluru, an important seaport and a major commercial centre in Karnataka with the state’ s second busiest airport, is fast gaining prominence as a business hub and a tourist gateway. Both for explorers as well as for those looking to relax and unwind, Mangaluru provides easy access to several nearby leisure destinations including resorts and beaches of Northern Kerala.
Royal Jordanian strengthens presence in 14 destinations
Royal Jordanian( RJ) announced that it will be in creasing the frequency of its flights to 14 key Arab and international destinations on its route network as of summer 2017. RJ has also rescheduled arrival and departure times providing passengers, particularly transit travellers, with the convenience of selecting from a broader array of flight options. The network enhancement comes as part of RJ’ s eagerness to strengthen its presence and boost its connectivity in those cities, all while incorporating network consolidation throughout the high-demand summer season. This will ultimately increase RJ’ s network connectivity by an additional 8 per cent. The 2017 summer operating plan will add an additional weekly flight to the already scheduled services to Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Madrid, Moscow, Riyadh, Tunis and Algiers, and two additional weekly flights to New York, Kuwait and Dammam. Furthermore, RJ will add three additional weekly flights to Medina, bringing the total number of weekly flights into the city to 16. Moreover, RJ will be operating a total of 15 weekly flights to Baghdad by adding six additional weekly trips to the existing schedule. Passengers can now enjoy flying RJ to 52 destinations on board its modern and young fleet which, since the end of 2014, saw the introduction of seven new Boeing 787 Dreamliners that operate on medium and long-haul routes.
Finnair to start Helsinki-Goa service next Winters
Starting November 29, 2017, the airline will start flying to the Indian beach destination, operating two weekly flights for the winter season, ending on March 21, 2018. Services will run every Wednesday and Sunday using an Airbus A330 aircraft. Apart from that, Finnair will add one more weekly flight to Delhi, taking the total frequency to six weekly flights next winter. It will also add two additional weekly frequencies on Helsinki-Bangkok route, taking the total to 16 flights per week. The airline will also add two more weekly services to Singapore, making it a daily destination, while three more weekly frequencies will be added to Hong Kong, taking the year-round total to 10 flights per week.
