6 Months Out

Research excursions. Consult your travel advisor about planning a special activity for you and your wedding party at your wedding destination.
Schedule any dance classes. Formal dance lessons are a great way to gain confidence( and learn some new moves!) before you hit the dance floor as a married couple for the first time.

3 Months Out

Send invitations. Be sure to include your travel advisor’ s contact information if your guests need assistance booking their air, hotel and excursions.

Practice beforehand. Plan a rehearsal dinner or welcome cocktail reception to make sure everyone in the wedding party knows the drill before the big day.
Confirm appointments. Doublecheck the times for hair / makeup appointments to avoid any mishaps.

1 Month Out

Write your vows. Also remember to choose the readings and music for your ceremony, plus music for important moments during the reception, such as the first dance.
Finalize the playlist. Make sure your DJ or band knows the vibe of your wedding. If there are certain songs you definitely don’ t want to hear( the chicken dance, perhaps?) consider making a music blacklist.

The finishing touches. This is the time to select a signature drink, design a wedding sign, purchase welcome-bag goodies and finish up all the final details. ◆
