WEDDINGS
But after talking it over with
their travel advisor, Kristi, The
Grand at Moon Palace in Riviera
Maya ended up suiting their
needs perfectly.
“We decided on The Grand
at Moon Palace because we
knew all of our guests would
find something they’d enjoy
here,” Lisa wrote. “Jordan
loves to golf and there is an
18-hole golf course connected
to the property as well as an
incredible spa. There is also a
beautiful chapel on site — the
perfect place for our wedding
ceremony.”
Kristi helped them out with
the fine print on pricing, as
they wanted a budget-friendly
wedding with no surprise
charges. They loved that Palace
offers an incentive to earn
hours for a free private event.
That means that if you have a
certain number of guests that
you can get the happy hour,
reception dinner or part of the
reception for much less.
Palace also allotted resort
credit to all wedding guests;
they used them to golf, enjoy
the spa, go on excursions and
get room upgrades. It was a
win-win situation for all.
The stunning Cusco rooftop
terrace overlooking the ocean
was perfect for their event. The
patterned tiles, greenery and
lights over the bar provided a
romantic, scenic place to host
friends and family at the happy
hour and reception.
The wealth of dining options
was also a big perk of the venue.
Lisa and Jordan were delighted
to find that there were Asian,
French, Italian, Lebanese,
steakhouse, Peruvian, Mexican
and Spanish tapas restaurants,
as well as multiple bars and
snack cantinas. The nine
outdoor swimming pools, two
of which are adults-only, were
also a refreshing feature.
“The adults-only pools feature
a DJ on certain days and a Grey
Goose bar,” Lisa marveled.
“How cool is that?!”
