The further away your destination wedding is, the sooner you should send them out. 2 T H E I N V I T AT I O N This is the most important piece of the puzzle, so you’ll want to send the invite out about 6-8 weeks before the wedding, or even earlier if your destination is far away. 3 R E P LY C A R D Be sure to put a deadline on the card so invitees know when to send it back. You should also include a line for the guest or guests to write their names. This is where you’ll also list entrée options and ask guests to pick what they’d like. 4 RE P LY CARD E NVE LOP E Including a stamped envelope greatly enhances your chances of receiving the reply card back. 5 OP T IONAL ADD-ONS Things like the wedding website, registry or reception address can be included on separate cards if you choose.
