Get it together
The first step is the easiest: Just get it together( literally). Start a folder for keeping all your paperwork, contacts and inspiration in one place. Everything else becomes much easier once you’ re organized!
Make a budget
This goes hand in hand with getting it together. Make sure to budget some extra flex-spending for travel costs— especially if you’ re thinking of bundling your honeymoon and destination wedding into one trip.
Choose a destination
This is where a travel advisor really shines. Having a pro in your corner for discovering, narrowing down and selecting a locale is a godsend.
Create the guest list
You’ ll want to send the save-the-dates as soon as possible to give your guests enough time to plan accordingly with budget and vacation time.
Visit your site
Some questions can only be answered by visiting the resort yourself; plus, this way you can treat yourself to a mini-vacation!
Choose your vendors
Depending on your venue, your resort might offer photographers, florists, hair stylists and makeup artists as well as caterers.
Make your website
A website is a must for communicating important details related to your wedding weekend( plus the link to the registry).
Pick a theme
A lot of your later decisions hinge on your event’ s colors, tone and mood.
Buy your suit / gown
No matter if it’ s a name-brand find or a designer boutique, it can take months to get your formalwear just right for the big day.
Decide on the wedding party attire
It’ s only right to give your wedding party a similar-length runway for their formalwear.
