PURE DESIGN Designer Nick Berman chose random northern Idaho quartzite for the floors and smooth drywall for the walls. The fireplace was given its own sleek canted wall and finished in steel-troweled concrete. NATURALLY INCLINED In the great room of an Aspen house by architect Lea Sisson, designers James Magni and Colin Dusenbury paired a Vladimir Kagan settee with Jacques Adnet chairs. The fireplace flue and range hood vent beyond were fabricated in COR-TEN steel by Living Design Studios.
