KENT CONSTRUCTION EXPO RETURNS THIS OCTOBER
Produced by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Kent Construction EXPO returns to the Kent Event Centre, Detling, on Thursday 1 October. The event brings together professionals from across the construction, property and built environment sectors for a full day of networking, conference sessions and business development.
Contractors, developers, consultants, local authorities, housing providers, manufacturers and suppliers from across Kent and the South East will be represented. More than 200 companies are expected to exhibit, alongside a conference programme featuring over 20 sessions and a range of networking events.
The day begins with the Kent Construction Focus Group Networking Breakfast, delivered in partnership with South East Consortium and Kent & Medway LSIP, the event’ s Skills & Workforce Partners. Attended by more than 200 construction professionals, this year’ s breakfast will look at the skills, training and workforce development needed to support the sector. Speakers will represent Jenner, Kent County Council, Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and the South East Construction Technical Excellence College.
The conference programme will address some of the main issues currently affecting the industry. Sessions include AI in project management, winning work through frameworks and bid strategy, biodiversity net gain, building safety and compliance, circular construction, digital delivery, and attracting, developing and retaining talent.
Meet the Buyer also returns, giving suppliers the opportunity to request pre-arranged one-to-one meetings with contractors and procurement organisations looking to expand their supply chains. Confirmed buyers include Heathrow Airport, Beardwell Construction, Riglift UK Ltd, GRAHAM Construction and JT Mackley & Co Ltd, alongside Skanska and Bouygues TP Murphy JV from the Lower Thames Crossing. Further organisations will be announced.
Across the exhibition, visitors can meet companies from throughout the construction supply chain, see new products and services, and discuss their requirements directly with suppliers and industry specialists.
The day concludes with a drinks reception and Gala Dinner. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal with live music from Ebonie G and her trio from the acclaimed Black Bird Entertainment Band. Comedian James Dowdeswell will then take to the stage as the evening’ s headline act.
