Material innovation remains a key theme across the wider programme. American Hardwood Export Council( AHEC), in collaboration with Mitre & Mondays and Benchmark, presents Wood for the Trees at the Tab Centre, an immersive exhibition inspired by AHEC ' s documentary Forested Future. Combining spatial design with storytelling, the installation explores responsible forestry, sustainable timber and the role forests will play in shaping the future of construction and design.
International platform Isola Design also returns to House of Icon at Shoreditch Design Week, showcasing an inspiring collection of emerging designers and independent studios from around the world, with a particular focus on innovation, sustainability and biomaterials.
One of Shoreditch Design Week ' s most anticipated exhibitions, 2LG Studio ' s acclaimed You Can Sit With Us returns to House of Icon for its fourth edition with its biggest and most ambitious presentation to date. Entitled Messy Heart, the exhibition is an antidote to perfection by celebrating emotion, individuality and human connection through design. Curated by design studio 2LG’ s founders Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe, the showcase brings together an exciting mix of emerging makers alongside established designers selected through an open call, reflecting the studio ' s ongoing commitment to championing diverse creative voices. Visitors will also be among the first to experience 2LG Studio ' s latest collections of textiles, lighting and home accessories.
Raw Collaborative is the platform connecting contemporary craft, design and material innovation through curated exhibitions and cross-disciplinary collaboration. At House of Icon during Shoreditch Design Week, they will present Design Intelligentsia: a showcase exploring thoughtful, future-facing design through collectible objects, sustainable materials, and emerging creative voices rooted in tradition, culture and histories.
Throughout the festival, studios, galleries, showrooms, coworking spaces, hotels and popup venues across Shoreditch open their doors to present an inspiring programme of installations, exhibitions, talks, workshops and product launches. Together, they create more than 60 independently curated, design-led events that celebrate the neighbourhood ' s creativity, innovation and collaborative spirit. Participating showrooms, partners and the full festival programme will be announced in the weeks ahead.
From established global brands and internationally recognised designers to emerging studios making their London Design Festival debut, Shoreditch Design Week continues to position the district as one of the UK ' s most influential creative hubs and an essential destination for anyone working in architecture, interiors and design.
